Cheeseburger.... this has nothing to do with Paul Harvey (who by the way
I can't stand) he just happens to be the one to point this out.....
Everyone in our country is entitled to "freedom of speech".... T-H-A-T
is the point.

Ok, you lost me. I assumed since it said "Paul Harvey Says..." that he
wrote it, believes it etc, that it had something to do with him, besides
anyone else who believes that. Ok, but if you're saying no it doesn't,
it's just the message that he is "pointing out", then I will have to
continue to miss where the actual point of it all is "freedom of speech"
rather than "We Pray When And Where We Want To Or You Hit The Highway".

I can see how one might mistake such a thing as religious (or otherwise)
public audible domination for freedom of speech, but I always thought that
only happened in the comic books and not in real life.

Freedom of speech is great, I'll agree with that, I still find it hard to
accept a single religion's prayers at the beginning of sporting and/or
other events for the most part when America whether it likes it or not
remains a melting pot of the entire world in addition to being its last
dreadful hope.

If people can pray publicly, over loud speakers etc, at such events and
events and etc's, then I should have equal time to get up with my ibanez, a
few foot pedals, and amps, and wail out some Jimi Hendrix, each and every
time I wanted at any event anywhere, also.

But I'm not allowed to do that either.

Concensus never did equal equality in my book. Nor consistently indicate
true wise justice.

But of course it's not my book they want to read from.

You'll most likely never hear anything read from any book about Buddha,
Mohammed, Allah, Krishna, you name the "God", being read before sporting
events etc in America, for the most part.

Is there a lawyer in the house..? While I am suing to get America back, I
might as well sue to have all the other "Gods'" words read before sporting
events in the United States as well.

If Jesus etc can publicly spout stuff before they blow the opening whistle,
gun, or briefcase, then someone from Hendrix, Zeus, Hera, Apollo, Allah,
the Great Spirit, the jungle tree God whatever etc should be afforded equal
freedom of speech and prime time involvement in society's enlightenment as
well instead of remaining to be always put 2nd horse to the opportunities
afforded those who continue to profess they exist in so much less of the
darkness.

The church chimes in my little town go over the entire place about 3 times
a day, every day, every week, morning noon and 5 pm. If I got on my roof
and just turned my amp volume to 1 and played The Star Spangled Banner by
Jimi Hendrix or something at 5 pm just once, the cops would come and arrest
me. Ok, nevermind, I forgot, they're The Church. They have Jesus on their
side.

All I have on my side is Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and a few other
hundred billion souls staring through the window and laughing our asses off
as we listen to the bells.

Rock on, America.

Freedom of speech. LOL... Yeah, it's a great thing...

Just show me where to plug my amp in at and I'll be fine. I love hotdogs.

Jesus is the only real one among all those heathen fakers. 1 Billion
Christians out of a world population of 6 Billion could never be
wrong. Uhh, sorry there, mister, all non-Christians in the line to the
left please..."

"Hot dogs..!! Hot dogs..!! Get yer tuttsi fruitsy ice a cream..! (Marx
Bros.), Ice cold Jesus on a stick right here..!!"

"Play ball...!!!!"

When I was in junior high or something I was at a high school football game
in my little town here and they were playing and someone got hurt and died
on the field, I think they said a prayer then also if I remember correctly,
then they went on with the game.

It was strange.
