of course harry
its the mistubishi/ US steel paradigm
diverting even 5% of the total budget geared for heavy industry
could mean a 3% reduction in profits
benefits? cops? oh come now
that can be put into heavy industry which is really what this war in addition to oil is about
heavy industry; everything from guns to tanks to
why those little metal clips on the back packs
soldiers carry
thats america harry
( maybe we are evil? )

Well is this not a pickle, cutting monies from local law enforcement to boost homeland security and the war etc........
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20050206/D8831M500.html
The cuts are only going to get worse down the road.
What is wrong with increasing taxes for essential services? Increase property taxes for schools and local services like law enforcement and fire fighting. Increase gas taxes to environment and road maintenance, cigarette taxes to public hospitals etc..... Increase all the "sin" taxes, booze etc...for public health issues.
Just a suggestion
H
