[Mb-civic] Canada says No to US missile defence program !

CBC reports that Prime Minister Paul Martin has stated that Canada will not participate in the proposed US missile defence program.

This is a political decision, for the vast majority of the Canadian public was against this program and felt there are better military ways to protect our own sovereignty of Canada and it's vast Northern territories. The proposed US missile system is extremely expensive and unreliable. 
The Prime minister has listened to the Canadian public and has acted. 

Canada will continue to work with the US on the defence of North America, but it's efforts will not be on the proposed missile defence.
