One of the nice governmental legacies from the '60s, is our space
program. For those of you with easy access to Manhattan, this might be
fun:

 
"Aerospace Design: The Art of Engineering From NASA's Aeronautical
Research" 

Pratt Manhattan Gallery, 144 W. 14th St.  

This display of more than 100 artifacts from NASA, many of them seen
here for the first time, runs through December 17.
