[Mb-civic] What is Israel's issue with the Moslim world?

I know the title is a very dumb question, but I am now so confused by the Middle Eastern issue. 

It is either the Israeli way or no way. Israel has threatened the US that if the US does not deal with Iran, it will !

That in itself scares me, the selfishness. 

I had an unfortunate chat with a individual ( a Canadian who had just returned from Israel as a soldier who had done his army stint thing)
I asked him why as a Canadian did he do 2 years with the Israeli army, instead of the Canadian army. He said he was a Jew and that was what was expected of him by his family and nation. I asked did Canada your nation expect you to enter the Israeli army? No' of course not. So I asked then, is Israel your nation? Yes. So I then asked why are you here back in Canada? He then got angry and said I did not understand the plight of his people. I said that has nothing to do with my question. If you are a Canadian then you support the Canadian, but if you support Israel over Canada then renounce your Canadian citizenship and move back to your chosen nation. This really upset him and he called me anti Semitic? I walked away, I felt threatened! Did I say something wrong, I do not know.

So my question of the day is that why are so many supporters of Israel are living in North America, Europe but not in Israel? If these people/individuals are so pro Israel why are they living here in Canada? 

Just thinking out loud, cause I really do not think I understand anymore. I am so lost on the fundamentals on this issue, it makes no sense!

The Arab Nations just want their lands back and get on with life, but the extremists on both sides won't let that happen, and the US wants the Oil!

I see no peace at all in the near or far future anymore.
