[Mb-hair] Re: Friends of HAIR at La MaMa

Hello all -

This is to wish Michael B. and friends a groovy good time at La MaMa's session with "Michael Butler and friends of HAIR" tomorrow afternoon at La MaMa.  I would love to join you all, but have previously scheduled family obligations in upstate New York this weekend.  But I am with you in spirit of course.

Next weekend (April 30) my theatrical family will be featured on this same program, "The Coffeehouse Chronicles," a La MaMa legacy project aimed at capturing the oral history of the milieu that birthed "HAIR" and so many other artistic initiatives on the 1960s.  Both my parents and all my siblings were active as theater artists on this scene "back in the day" - and I had the good fortune of working with Tom O'Horgan on several La MaMa projects prior to "HAIR."  It kills me that I will have to miss meeting many of you who will be there tomorrow, but I am glad that Michael and all of you will be on hand to celebrate La MaMa and its connection to "HAIR".

I will of course speak with pride about my own "HAIR" experience on April 30th, 3-5pm, when The Harris Family has its "Coffeehouse Chronicles" session. If any of you are in New York City on April 30th I hope you will join us.
