That's so cool Paul~
So kids, i have more great news!!!
(I was afraid to tell you that after the amazing party, we kind of fell
apart a little in rehearsal...i was really lost for a day or two, but...)
Something clicked and we had a kick-ass rehearsal. it really felt like
finally everyone was on focus.
and we finally blocked the last scene...wow. almost everyone was crying.
that's some powerful stuff.
I don't know if i told you, but our local chapter of the Veterans for Peace
are going to be involved with the final number~ it's going to be intense.
and a full circle.
One of my youngest cast members is a senior in high school, and she couldn't
stop crying because one of her best friends just signed up for the Army...
Last week I read the poem "Ozymandius", by Percy Shelley, to my cast~
because i think there were a few that were too caught up in the number of
lines they had... (there is someone on the list who emailed me the most
wonderful email back when i was having troubles with WOOF...i have lost the
email, and am totally embarrassed that I don't remember who sent it to me~
but Thank You!!!!! it made a huge difference)
and then I talked about how when you really desire something that the
universe conspires to help you, but that before you achieve your dream ore
realize your destiny that you are severely tested...
(read or re-read THE ALCHEMIST...now is a perfect time for it)
and then THE LITTLE PRINCE fell into my lap again last night~ it is amazing
how this whole process has opened me back up to the soul of the world. i
think i had forgotten how to talk to my heart.
Thank you all so much for letting me share my experiences with you.
Peace and hope and love my dears,
K
