I agree
Posted on 12-Jun-06 at 5:48 am | PermalinkYou will find, as have I, that this an easier way of combining posts and replies (comments) rather than having to go back and forth.
Posted on 12-Jun-06 at 6:05 am | PermalinkI also was originally opposed to this change when the ISP group opposed it.
Now after a few days I agree they were right.
Give it a chance.
Peace and Love,
Michael
i like this way much better .. people need to wrap their heads around the “bookmark” concept .. ask your 13 year old nephew 🙂

Well that may be becaue we all have to learn how to use a blog – to adapt to a new medium.
Also because it doesn’t come to us and we have to go to the blog to read messages there is an element of ‘how interested am I?’.
I think the future of this and other blogs is for users to find a way of tagging the RSS feed of a thread that interests, and in that way you get notification when something is added to that thread, rather than logging on to see if there are new ‘posts’ in the thread.
I’m not an experienced blogger – do we have any here ? If so, maybe they can offer some words of wisdom. Or maybe the Super Niña has some blogging advice ?
Whatever, peace to you all (or at least to those of you who read this!)

Posted on 13-Jun-06 at 6:26 am | PermalinkOne other important point i want to make is that this new fomrmat is more inclusive and allows more people to participate – thousands potentially
in the the old format that would be impossible
Posted on 13-Jun-06 at 6:57 am | PermalinkI agree it is easier, and actually there has been a higher volume of posts (including comments on posts) here than on the old list, where it was possible to go for days without a post at some times.
I am excited at the potential, as Mike Blaxill says, of incresing the number of participants here, something the blog allows for, and already we have some registered users who are new to us, hiding in the wings.
Several people have asked for a “How-To” and I am working on one. When it is finished we will post a link to it.
Hang in there! Eventually it will feel comfortable!
