HAiR Duo
Hello Cybertribe,
I had thought that we would never again be able to see how the original HAiR productions were staged because apparently no movie records of those shows were made. A couple of days ago I discovered that there is a posting of “The Smothers Brothers Show” online that features Rado, Ragni, Jennifer (Warnes) Warren, etc. performing some of the original songs in a way which, I believe, is quite similar to how they were performed on stage. It really is a powerful performance! The link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyGEDOOEaMM.
Thanks to Circe Link of the Met HAiR tribe for turning me on to this most interesting and enjoyable site.
Speaking of powerful HAiR performances, I want to remind you all that only two more weekends remain for the Chi Hoota Wei tribe’s production at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. This is a GREAT production by a genuinely loving tribe that truly “groks” the show. They are also strong singers and exceptional actors, and they are backed by probably the best HAiR band that I have had the pleasure of hearing! If you can possibly make it to this production, I believe that you will be very happy that you went.

Thriller! Thanks for posting that link to the Smothers Brothers broadcast: I remember seeing it year ago, now it’s great to see again that performance. And Delores Hall: She sang Aquarius every time I saw the LA Cast: great to see her and the others “live” again.
Nina: any chance of putting that on the Archive site? I’d hate for it to drop off of Youtube at some point…
