DORIAN, THE REMARKABLE MR. GRAY
Author and composer: Randy Bowser
The concept matrix of Dorian, The Remarkable Mr. Gray features an edgy, stylized embodiment of Victorian London as seen through Dorian’s eyes. Visual design and explosive choreography are in contrast to the elevated, near-classical sound of the score. The libretto focuses on themes from Oscar Wilde’s classical novel: society’s obsession with youth, the value of art and friendship, and the relationship between conscience and soul making it now and relevant. Currently being performed in Moscow.
