She did many off off Broadway shows, acting and singing and composing. She
worked in the best cabarets in New York----- Reno Sweeney, The Grand
Finale,
Tramps, and The Copa. She was in The Kings Crown and I, a
delightful
children's show and traveled across country in Tom O'Horgan's
One
of her biggest thrills, was composing, performing and producing a half
hour ballet She sings, writes, paints, composes, has produced other artists, has her own CD, is an astrologer, a licensed massage therapist, an Interfaith minister and a spiritual counselor. Marjorie writes: What I love is drinking a glass of water, when I’m thirsty, realizing, I too am water. What I love is smiling at a stranger on the street, seeing their face light up and lovingly smile back at me, making my whole body feel just right. And the feeling lingers. What I love is giving a full, warm hug, to some one, who really surrenders to the pure affection of it, and allows a healing to take place between us. What I love are the animals, all kinds, all kinds. I love the dignity and strength of my dog, and the tenacity and depth of my cat. They give so much, these four leggeds. I love the painting of the palomino horse that hangs on the wall in the lobby of the Chelsea Hotel. I look forward to seeing her every time I go by. What
I love is looking into a baby’s eyes, and telling it’s mother in
passing,
that her child is an angel; And then to notice how thrilled and whole
the
mother seems to feel. What I love is to sing with all my heart,
especially
one of my own songs, and feel the creative juices flow in the
connection
with people through the purity of the music. What I love is sitting
still
in a deep meditation and locating the peace that lives inside of me,
that
comes as a gift with the practice. What I love is to write in a way
that
not only moves me, but also stirs the minds, hearts and spirits of
others.
What I love is pasta, green leafy vegetables and tofu steamed with
garlic,
olive oil and tamara source. I love big wild salads with olive oil and
lemon, and grilled shrimp. What I love is my new computer, i Mac G5 10.4. What I love is being in a recording studio and producing emotionally charged and passionately driven music, getting down and playing with genius musicians. I love being in harmony with my dog, China Star Fire and sharing my bagel with her every morning. I love the intimacy that I can share with my sweet cat, Ida Moon Littleface, who has taught me the art of gentleness and subtlety. She is my little guru. I can really get into a Bombay Sapphire Martini. Let me tell you, careful, careful! I love cranberries and garnets. I love a really meaningful play, that makes me laugh and cry and think and feel differently. I
love the power and the grace of a well trained dancer. I love Vivaldi
and
Mozart and Gershwin. The Dalai Lama blows my mind, thank god someone can. I am grateful. I love the nature of Spirit in me. I love creativity and birds. I love letting a painting just flow out onto the canvas thru my hands without thoughts; just intuition and impulse, like free writing. I love being told how much I mean to someone, or what a help I’ve been, or that I’ve been missed. I love making some one think beyond, where they have thought before. I love someone making me think beyond, where I have thought before. I love doing astrology charts for people and seeing them open up and find more hope. I love giving a healing massage to my clients. I love the wind and the sea and the light of day. I love the quiet of a country road. I love trees with everything in me. I
love when the bus comes, when the subway comes, when a cab comes, when
a friend comes. I love cinema. I love the smell of cut grass and lemons. I love the feel of rabbits fur. I love the color of clouds. I love when a dear, dear friend calls me from Bali or California or New Mexico to just say hi. I love E-Mail most of the time, well some of the time. I love taking pictures and capturing beauty, and conveying a pure and true moment. I love a moment that will never come again. I love learning and becoming more and more myself. I love loving with abandon. I loved being there. I love being here. I love the mystery of life. I love my twin brother who flew away to spirit world, and holds a piece of me forever with his soul. I love the people I’ve yet to meet, I know I do. I love the sound of the rain falling outside my window right now. I adore a good whistler, you know the kind, that can whistle a sophisticated melody and not leave out one note. I
love my breath, my life. |
