Never rewrite a hit but in the case of Hair, RCA is putting out its third original cast album of the musical.  Dario Soria, RCA REcords v.p. over the international department is cutting the japanese language version of Hair which bowed in Tokyo December 5th.  The show has already racked up one of the largest advance sales in the long history of the japanese theatre.

RCA originally put out the Off Broadway version of Hair when its impact was still unknown.  Later, when the show moved to Broadway, RCA exercised its option to cut that show in an album that has since become the company's alltime bestselling Broadway album.
