HAIR

HAIR, the blockbuster musical about the Hippie generation, is one musical that will be produced. The compound in which it plays will be designed to be reminiscent of two of the most celebrated American Hippie hangouts: the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco and Greenwich Village in New York. The entire compound will take on the atmosphere of these two locales, each so seamlessly created that one has the feeling of being on a film studio’s back lot. Building facades will be architecturally accurate to the time and retail stores will have signage dating from the Hippie era. Employees will dress in theme-appropriate costumes, wearing, for example, love beads and bell-bottoms, and poetry-spouting love children promoting flower power will provide ambient entertainment. In other words, patrons will step into another world for an out-of-this-world experience. HAIR readily lends itself to the proposed Festivals set-up, along with two more proprietary productions described below, and countless others already in existence.

HAIR, "The Festival"

HAIR, "The Festival" is a traveling entertainment complex that houses a variety of venues in a fully themed environment of the 60’s. Using a tented compound combined with complete re-creations of Haight-Ashbury and Greenwich Village at Hollywood back lot levels, the complex delivers top professional quality.

It’s commercial design is to give presenters & promoters a new experience to offer their patrons; sponsors a way to extend their brands; and concession operators a way to capture per capita expenditures. With this, all aspects of entertainment can be offered; theatre; music; comedy; street scenes, multimedia, spoken word and special events.

Its spiritual design is to present entertainment to the public in an exciting and meaningful way. The 60’s was the last great moment in time where we took a hard look at ourselves and asked why. HAIR, one of the most successful musicals of our time, is considered to be the single entertainment event that represented the very heart and soul of the era.

With that in mind, the creators of Hair, "The Festival" believe that the emotion and vision of the 60’s will be quite useful to us as a society as we consider the new Millennium. As Aquarius continues to rise and the information age dawns, Hair, "The Festival" is designed to remind us of where were, where we are and where we are going.
