PARZIVAL
by Wolfram Von Eschenbach
Died c. 1230 A.D.
Troubadour and Templar, Wolfram Von Eschenbach wrote of the quest for
the Holy Grail and its achievement by the Holy Fool, Parzival. It is
considered by many to be the crowning achievement of High German poetry,
and a repository of the Western Esoteric Tradition as well. Clinschor,
who is talked about but never appears in the poem, is castrated by a
jealous husband. In his bitterness, he constructs, through his evil
magic, the Castle of Wonders and imprisons many beautiful ladies there.
Gawan (Gawain) takes on the quest of the Perilous Bed and frees them of
Clinschor's power.
In 1845, Parzival was read by RICHARD WAGNER
