Bear:
I don’t think individuals are heading off to join ISIS because of religion, so many want to feel they belong whether it’s a gang, a cause, or whatever. There are enormous social changes in this country starting with the family unit which is almost no more. Gone are most of the parents who cared, talked with their children, did things with their children, had dinner around the table and talked, gave lots of love and lots of discipline. Either they don’t care or are so tired they have no energy and expect schools to raise their children, or parents who have so much money there are other things to do and help can raise the children. Next there are the millions of single parent households. Granted there are many women divorced or widowed who are raising great kids. Sadly statistics point in another direction with many women just looking for the next man and another child, or not getting married because they lose their benefits. There are millions of children raised in foster homes, and about 60% of these are on medications, they never really belong to anything.
I read that the House voted to pass a stop-gap measure to fund gov. operations between Oct. 1 and Dec. 11th at an annual rate of $1,012 trillion in discretionary spending and arming of moderate Syrian rebels. The money just flows, amazing, what a joke the whole Washington scene is.
Aloha,
